The Directorate General of Training (DGT), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has announced the results of the All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) 2026 for admission to the Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS). The entrance examination was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on May 31, 2026, for admission to instructor training programmes offered through National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) and Institutes of Training of Trainers (IToTs) for the 2026–27 academic session.
According to the published Tentative Admissions Schedule for CITS (Session 2026–27), the counselling process will begin later this month. Candidates who qualified in the examination can access their scorecards and participate in the admission process based on merit and seat availability.

Admission Process
Admissions are conducted through a merit-based counselling system. Applicants must submit institute preferences during the choice-filling period. Seat allocation is based on rank, reservation provisions, candidate preferences and seat availability.
Candidates allotted seats are required to complete document verification within the prescribed timeline. Transfer rounds allow provisionally admitted candidates to be considered for higher-preference institutes if vacancies become available. Vacant seats remaining after regular rounds may be filled through institute-level spot admissions.
