How to Download the Answer Key
After the answer key is released, registered candidates can:
- Visit the official UGC NET portal.
- Click on the UGC NET June 2026 Provisional Answer Key or Response Sheet link.
- Log in using the application number, password or date of birth, along with the security PIN.
- Download the provisional answer key, response sheet, and question paper.
- Save the documents before the objection window closes.

While checking the provisional answer key, applicants should compare the Question ID with the corresponding Option ID, as option numbers may differ across question papers.
Answer Key Challenge Process
Candidates who identify discrepancies may submit objections through the official portal during the period notified by the NTA. The process generally includes selecting the disputed question, uploading supporting academic evidence in PDF format, paying the prescribed processing fee, and submitting the challenge before the deadline.
Based on previous UGC NET sessions, the challenge fee has generally been ₹200 per question (non-refundable). The applicable fee, objection window and submission process for the June 2026 session should be verified through the official notification.
After the objection period closes, subject experts review all representations. If any revision is accepted, the final answer key is updated and used for preparing the results.
