The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the KCET 2026 Round 1 Final Seat Allotment for admissions to undergraduate professional programmes, including engineering, architecture, pharmacy, agriculture and allied courses. The allotment forms part of the centralized counselling process for the 2026–27 academic session, under which seats are allocated according to merit, reservation policy, candidate preferences and seat availability.
The publication of the first-round allotment marks the transition from counselling to the admission stage. Round 1 Final Seat Allotment
Confirmed: KEA released the Round 1 Final Seat Allotment on 15 July 2026, following the provisional allotment published on 14 July 2026. Candidates can check their allotment status by logging into the official KEA counselling portal using their application credentials.
According to the KEA UGCET 2026 Counselling Notification and Round 1 counselling instructions, seat allocation is based on:
- KCET merit rank
- Reservation category
- Option Entry preferences (the order of colleges and courses selected by a candidate during counselling)
- Availability of seats
- Merit prepared using a 50:50 weightage of KCET scores and Class 12/II PUC marks
This centralized system helps streamline admissions while implementing reservation policies notified by the State Government and reducing multiple seat allocations across participating institutions.
Counselling Choices After Allotment
Candidates must select one of the four options prescribed by KEA within the notified counselling schedule. Failure to exercise a choice within the stipulated period may result in cancellation of the allotted seat in accordance with KEA counselling guidelines.

Fee Payment and College Reporting
Candidates selecting Choice 1 are required to complete admission formalities within the timeline specified in their admission order.
KEA permits fee payment through approved methods, including the online payment gateway, e-Challan and NEFT/RTGS, wherever applicable. After successful payment, the admission order can be downloaded from the counselling portal.
Physical reporting at the allotted institution is mandatory. During reporting, the institution verifies documents and completes admission formalities. Where applicable, candidates are also required to update their joining status through the KEA portal in accordance with the counselling instructions.
