The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has introduced a One-Time Registration (OTR) system for candidates applying to future Group B and Group C recruitments. The new system was officially launched on 14 July 2026 through the Commission’s e-Pariksha portal as part of the state’s efforts to streamline government recruitment and reduce repetitive application procedures.
Alongside the OTR launch, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced an extension of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) score validity from one year to three years. According to the official policy announcement, the revised validity will apply from PET 2025 onwards. What Is the One-Time Registration System?
The OTR system enables candidates to create a single digital profile by submitting their personal, educational and communication details once. After successful registration, an OTR number is generated and can be used while applying for future recruitment notifications issued by UPSSSC.
The initiative is intended to reduce repeated data entry, improve record consistency and simplify the online application process across multiple recruitment cycles. Recruitment-specific information may still be required wherever prescribed in individual advertisements.
PET Score Validity: What Has Changed?
According to the government’s announcement, the validity of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) score has been extended from one year to three years.

Registration Pathways
UPSSSC has introduced two registration methods.
Candidates Who Appeared in PET-2025
Applicants who appeared in PET-2025 can register using their PET registration number. Existing information may be retrieved through the portal, while a fresh photograph and signature are required during OTR registration.
Fresh Applicants
Candidates who did not appear in PET-2025 must complete a new OTR registration by entering the prescribed personal and educational information.

Applicants should ensure that their registered mobile number and email address remain active throughout the recruitment process, as official communications are generally issued through these channels.

Candidates should also follow the prescribed signature format, including the handwritten name requirement in Hindi wherever specified in the official instructions. Images that do not comply with the notified specifications may face rejection during the verification process.
