The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has announced the Round 1 Seat Allotment Result for the UP Polytechnic Counselling 2026. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can now check their allotment status through the official counselling portal using their application number, password and security pin.
JEECUP conducts centralized counselling for admissions to diploma programmes offered by government, aided and private polytechnic institutions across Uttar Pradesh. The centralized admission process is designed to ensure merit-based seat allocation, improve transparency and simplify admissions through a single counselling system. Candidates allotted a seat in the first round must complete the prescribed admission formalities within the notified schedule to retain their allotment.

How to Check the Seat Allotment Result
Applicants can access their allotment details by logging into the official counselling portal.
- Visit the official JEECUP counselling website.
- Select the Round 1 Seat Allotment link.
- Enter the application number, password and security pin.
- View the allotment result.
- Download and save the provisional allotment letter for future admission formalities.
The allotment letter contains details such as the allotted institute, branch, admission category, candidate’s rank, opening and closing rank information, and the deadline for accepting the allotted seat.

Freeze and Float Options
After accepting a seat, candidates must select one of the following options.

Confirms the allotted institute and branch. The candidate will not be considered in subsequent counselling rounds. |

Retains the allotted seat while remaining eligible for an upgraded allotment in the next counselling round, if available. |
Selecting the Float option does not exempt candidates from paying the seat acceptance fee or completing document verification. Failure to complete these mandatory steps within the prescribed timeline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat under the counselling guidelines.
Seat Acceptance Fee
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 are required to pay a Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹3,250, as specified in the official counselling schedule.

The advance tuition fee will be adjusted against the final admission fee payable at the allotted institution. Payment can be made online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.

Applicants claiming reservation benefits should ensure that supporting certificates comply with the prescribed requirements. Any deficiency in reservation-related documents may affect the applicable claim during verification.
Withdrawal and Subsequent Rounds
Candidates who decide not to continue with the admission process may use the online withdrawal facility on July 6, 2026. According to the official counselling guidelines, the ₹3,000 advance tuition fee is refundable to the registered bank account after withdrawal. However, candidates who withdraw will not be eligible for the remaining regular counselling rounds.
Those who are not allotted a seat in Round 1 do not need to take any immediate action. They will automatically remain eligible for subsequent counselling rounds, subject to the publication of the revised vacant seat matrix.
Candidate Guidance
Before reporting for verification, applicants should carefully review the details mentioned in the provisional allotment letter. Original documents should match the information submitted during registration. Retaining both digital and printed copies of the allotment letter, payment receipt and verification documents can help avoid delays during admission.
Fraud and Safety Advisory
Complete all admission-related activities only through the official JEECUP counselling portal. Do not share application credentials, passwords or OTPs with anyone claiming to offer admission assistance.
JEECUP does not ask candidates to transfer money to personal bank accounts or make payments through unofficial links. Avoid unauthorised agents, verify payment requests carefully and report suspicious calls, messages or websites through appropriate government or cybercrime reporting channels where applicable.
