The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) formally inducted participants into its postgraduate programmes on June 17, 2026, marking the beginning of the 2026–28 academic session. PGP Batch Profile
The flagship PGP programme admitted 414 participants. Engineering graduates form the majority of the cohort, while candidates from non-engineering disciplines account for nearly two-fifths of the intake.
The average age of the batch is 23 years. Most participants also bring prior professional experience, reflecting a continuing trend among leading management institutes of enrolling candidates with industry exposure.

PGP-FABM Batch Profile
The PGP-FABM programme inducted 44 participants for the new session. The programme remains focused on agriculture and allied sectors, with all participants coming from relevant academic backgrounds.
Women account for 38.64% of the cohort. The batch has an average age of 23 years, while around one-third of participants have prior industry experience.

Inaugural BPGP: BA & AI Cohort
IIMA also welcomed the first cohort of its Blended Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, offered through the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of AI.
The programme enrolled 71 working professionals from multiple sectors. Compared with the traditional postgraduate programmes, participants in this cohort bring substantially higher levels of industry experience.
