The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has started the online admission process for 17 undergraduate (UG) and integrated postgraduate (IPG) programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. Admissions to most programmes will be based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026 scores conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), while the five-year Bachelor of Optometry programme will admit candidates through NEET 2026.

The university follows a two-semester academic calendar consisting of the Monsoon Semester (July–December) and the Winter Semester (January–June).
Application Process
Applications are accepted only through the Samarth admission portal. Candidates must register using their CUET UG 2026 Application Number along with a valid email address or mobile number.
Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature and supporting documents within the prescribed file size limits. Before submitting the application, candidates should ensure that all personal, academic and category details match their official records.

Eligibility Criteria
As specified in the University of Hyderabad Undergraduate Admissions Prospectus 2026–27 (retrieved July 2026), candidates should have passed the qualifying Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2023 or later to be eligible for the current admission cycle.
For most CUET-based programmes, applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination. Relaxation for SC, ST and PwBD candidates is available in accordance with the university’s admission policy.
The prospectus classifies CUET subjects into Core Papers and Qualifying Papers. Merit lists are prepared using scores obtained in the Core Papers, while candidates must also secure the prescribed qualifying marks in the relevant Qualifying Papers. Programme-specific requirements apply to certain courses, including Integrated M.Sc. Psychology and selected language programmes.

Counselling and Document Verification

Applicants claiming reservation benefits should ensure that their certificates meet the format and validity requirements mentioned in the admission notification. The university has stated that admission may be cancelled if incorrect information or invalid documents are submitted during verification.
Hostel Accommodation
The University of Hyderabad Hostel Admission Guidelines (Chief Warden, retrieved July 2026) state that the university has 23 hostels. Hostel allotment is subject to availability and the conditions prescribed in the hostel admission rules.
Applicants residing within 50 kilometres of the university campus are generally not eligible for hostel accommodation. Candidates allotted hostel accommodation are required to complete the prescribed joining formalities within the timeline notified by the university.
