Promotion Rules
The revised promotion framework follows amendments to the Right to Education (RTE) Rules, under which states may detain learners in Classes 5 and 8 if they do not satisfy the prescribed promotion criteria after the supplementary examination.
Candidates who are not declared successful may be required to repeat the same class.
